Kermit or the Incredible Hulk

Posted February 09, 2010

Last week we spent the afternoon packing things into boxes with our production specialists in their studio.

All will be revealed next week, but until now....can you guess what it is? It's POS but not as you've seen it before.

iPhone vs el Blackberry

Posted January 14, 2010

Here in the Charlyinc bureau, we're going through annual, unimportant, yet at the same time, very important process - the phone upgrade.

Today we have entered into that all too familiar philosphical debate do we a)turn to the dark side, accept it's funny hand gestures and let the iPhone into our lives or b) remain with our, oh so superior and considerably more business-like blackberry.
When we sought someone else's opinon on the matter on the web, we found these niceys (iPhone leather cases,) on http://www.folksy.com. Making this year's decision all the harder.

Thank goodness it'll fit our new INQ Chat http://www.inqmobile.com/lang/en/phones/ instead. Decision done.

Well for another year.

We have a fan!

Posted January 08, 2010

Well our friends at Folksy, who we've been helping with their marketing strategy and building a brand neighbourhood for themselves, have.

Just before Christmas we teamed up with Sue Ryder to create a competition for the Folksy community, encouraging them to have an Upcycle Christmas. Sue Ryder allowed participants to do a small supermarket sweep around their store and with their spoils make something we could auction on the charity's behalf on eBay. It was fantastic, the cyber-crafters of Folksy got right behind it, as did our judges and we made some money for an extremely worthy cause.

Oh and Linda Barker, bought three things from the auction and wants to know if we've trademarked the phrase "upcycle".

BYE BYE Habda

Habda, who has been helping us build our website and looked after our Christmas card commision (which we've had so many kind comments about), is taking a little break from us. She's one of the first intake on the Whitechapel Art Gallery's MA curation course and it's time she tackled the assignment mountain and concentrated less on building the Charlyinc empire.

We'll miss her but wish her well and we know she'll be back..........

Welcome to our new website

We popped around to INQ towers the other day to deliver Christmas goodies. This included a cake we had made by our friend Rosy Nicholas.

It was our first slice of Christmas and we're now right into that festive frame of mind. mail@rosynicholas.com

As part of the ethos of Charlyinc this image, the image we used for our Christmas card was specially commissioned from artist Charlotte Jonerheim.

You can see more of her work on: http://www.saatchi-gallery.co.uk/yourgallery/artist_profile/Charlotte+Jonerheim/31729.html - or just click on the image.
